The NAACP Albemarle-Charlottesville Branch is here to help resolve issues related to discrimination and injustice. Through the work of our Executive Committee, along with the Committee that is best suited to handle the concern, we are dedicated to working with you and on your behalf to investigate and provide assistance on issues within the Albemarle-Charlottesville community.
Please keep in mind that the branch does not give legal advice, but is willing to assist you if possible. Our assistance does not create an attorney-client relationship. Our role is to work toward communication with all parties involved with the goal of reaching an acceptable solution to the problem.
If you need our help addressing a concern of an injustice or discrimination, follow these steps to get started:
- Get an NAACP discrimination complaint form – Click here for the Word document complaint form or here for a printable PDF version of the complaint form.
- Complete the form as accurately as possible, clearly stating the problem. (If you need assistance with this, please call the branch office 434-220-1493).
- Return the completed form to us via postal mail or via email: (email@example.com),
Upon review by the Executive Committee, we will give you a response as soon as possible and inform you whether we are able to assist you with your complaint in conformance with our by-laws and mission of the NAACP.
